One enchanted evening with Christina Perri in Manila

Several months ago, I had a quick chat with a friend of mine and talked about the song, "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. And if you're a Twilight fan, I know you sang it all over whenever it played on the radio. It became the theme song of every weddings that my friend attended last year. I've been listening to Perri's song since her chart-topping hit, "Jar of Hearts."

Last March 5, I had a chance to see her perform on stage at Smart Araneta Coliseum. I was awe-struck when she sang Arms, Butterfly, Human, and other songs from her two albums, Lovestrong and Head or Heart.

In the middle of the concert, I got teary eyed when she sang Human. A week before her Manila tour, I repeatedly played on my Spotify playlist. Inspired listening to her songs, I admired her as a person and how she wrote every songs she made for her album.

 One of the highlights of the said concert when Perri sang her own rendition of Ed Sheeran's hit, "Thinking Out Loud." She sang it perfectly, and almost dropped my jaw when I heard the first few lines of the song.
