OPM superstar Maki recently released his much-awaited music video for Bughaw featuring youthful cast including HORI7ON's Kyler, YGIG's Alexie, and TikToker Zeke Abella.

During his "Bughaw Hour" event and music video premiere, Maki, together with Kyler and Alexie shared fun stories about the music video shoot and also shared the bond they were able to form during the shoot. When asked why this casting came to become what it is, the Namumula-singer shared that he was initially looking for cast mates who share the same experience about the meaning of the song. Maki also shared how thankful he is that his initial picks Alexie, Kyler, and Zeke immediately said yes to being part of the special project.

"Bughaw" brings new meaning to the color, often associated with being sad. In Maki's world, there is comfort with being blue and that the color also symbolized being youthful and carefree. Interestingly, the song was also a love letter he wrote for his Zushis, dedicating how his fans and his friends saved him in many ways.

The premiere party came with intimate and acoustic performances of Maki's hits as well as featured special guests including young brother HARO, monster singer Angela Ken, and rising singer Dani Zam.

Fans were also treated for a surprise as the blue boy also shared news that he will be releasing his 10-track full length album soon titled "Kolorcoaster". Tracklist and date of release to follow.

Bughaw as a song and project solidifies Maki as the next OPM singer to watch out for as he proves that he does not need to write "monster songs" for the charts and the general public. The song goes back to Maki's loyal following and deepens connections as he prepares fans for more exciting things like "Kolorcoaster" coming soon.
