The non stop rain did not stop eager fans to witness one of Japan's hottest sensations - vocalist Hiro, guitarist Teru, bassist Nob and drummer Kid'z collectively known as My First Story. Fusing alt rock, post hardcore, electronica, and J-pop. The band defied classification and norms. This concert marks their first ever performance on the Philippine stage.

Opening with "Winner", the crowd roared with excitement it was almost deafening. The group then performed "Shinkiro", "Tokyo Midnight", "Boyfriend" and "Paradox" which were also equally met with applause and enthusiasm.

It was raining cold outside but the intense heat of the group's performance inside the SM Skydome killed it off. The energy of the band from their first song up to their last did not wane down fueling the crowd to dance even more and bop their heads to every beat of their music.

In the middle of their set, they stop performing to welcome their Filipino fans and learn some tagalog words like "Masaya ako makita kayo" and "Ako si ____ " wherein each band member introduced themselves in Tagalog. The crowd in return told them they are "Pogi" (handsome) and "Aishitemasu" which is I love you in Nihonggo. It was a fun interaction between the crowd and the performers.

After the interaction, they did more songs to hype the crowd and keep the energy flowing songs like "Halcyon", "Love affair" and "Break it Down". They also did a ballad "Kokohaku" to ease the crowd and do some sing alongs.

The latter part of their setlist were for the fan favorites and popular songs of the band like "Monster", "Monochrome Effector", "Alone", the Demon Slayer hit "Mugen", "Im a Mess" and thus capping off with "Fukagyaku Replace". Audience and fans alike can truly attest that this is a memorable concert experience. The dynamic showmanship of the band plus their crowd interaction is set on Philippine concert history.

Though the songs are mostly in Japanese, it did not deter the audience to sing and dance along on most of their songs as they say music is a universal language.

My First Story Live Manila is brought to you by PULP Live World.
