Manila was treated to a delightful showcase of Xiumin’s many charms during his first solo fan concert, <X Times ( )>, held last Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. Energized by the support of his Filipino fans, Xiumin displayed a captivating mix of his playful and charismatic sides throughout the evening.

Showcasing His Endearing and Goofy Personality
The “Hot Ixxue” Segment proved to be a highlight as he enthusiastically took on funny challenges and shared some amusing TMI (Too Much Information) all while engaging in a playful banter with the host. One of the TMIs shared was his love for Jollibee whenever he’s in Manila, especially the burger, spaghetti and fries combo.
He had the audience roaring in laughter as he gamely performed the “Chicken Banana” dance, all while wearing a hanbok. He later confessed to having the song stuck in his head throughout the entire night.
The K- pop singer also treated his fans to a karaoke-style rendition of his audition song, “Footsteps”. He mentioned that the song meant a lot to him, as it helped him pass his audition which marked the start of his journey as a singer.
Xiumin’s Creativity and Growth as a Solo Artist
Xiumin described the concept of <X Times ( )> as an exclusive magazine, with “reporter Xiumin” on a mission to find out the real identity of “X”. This creative framework gave him the opportunity to present different sides of himself as a performer. He also shared his fondness for incorporating storylines into his concerts, and promised an even funnier VCR once he returns to Manila.
The concert opened with Xiumin’s performance of Daisy, followed by a selection of tracks from his first solo album “Brand New” and his latest release “Interview X”, reflecting his growth and artistry as a solo artist.
Responding to the enthusiastic requests of Filipino EXO-Ls, Xiumin also performed EXO’s iconic hits, “Cream Soda” and “Love Shot”, sending waves of excitement through the whole venue.
Expressing his gratitude and affection for his fans in the Philippines, Xiumin shared his excitement to come back and perform in Manila once again. Without a doubt, <X Times ( )> was a memorable night for Filipino EXO-Ls, solidifying Xiumin’s connection with his fans and leaving them with lasting memories of his charming personality and outstanding performances.
