Route xYz comprised of Belaro, talented guitarist Hiro Ozaki, who hailed from Nagoya, Japan, and vocalist Ivo Gatela who makes emotional vocals through their music.
In case you didn't know, Hiro did the Japanese cover of "Magbalik", then he was connected to Lem. “I enjoy the experience. I just love music," he said after we asked him about switching from his previous stint from Skygarden, and composing the theme song of "Pulang Araw", a Netflix Philippines series. He's enjoying his time here in the Philippines making music.
With their debut track, Madama, it blends with a fresh, cinematic orchestral sound. Sweeping strings, layered harmonies, and dynamic arrangements elevate the emotional cinematic pop-rock style fans know and love. It resonates that love that exists but cannot felt.
With a new band, Belaro said that their goal is not chase hit songs, but to tell true stories through music. “Why not go back to the right destination, which is the music itself? No negativity, no distractions, just creating songs that can inspire people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ivo said that the said single carries a personal connection in his life. During the music launch last March 12 at 70's Bistro, he said that the song reminded him of his father who's working overseas which often missing milestones like graduations, and birthdays with their family.
“Sobrang grateful po talaga and thankful kay Sir Lem. Kasi out of nowhere po talaga. Guide singer lang talaga ako nung una, pang-rehearsal lang. Tapos noong una tinawagan ako ni Sir Lem, parang hindi ko alam kung maniniwala ako o hindi,” Ivo added.
