Charice performs in San Diego LGBT music festival

Talented Pinoy YouTube sensation, and international recording artist, Charice performs recently in a LGBT music festival in San Diego, California.

The said gay pride event, with the theme “Reflections of Pride", which aims to foster pride in and respect for all LGBT people locally, nationally and globally.

She performed her hit song “Louder” and David Guetta’s “Titanium.” As she told the crowd, “I’m a performer and I’m gay.”

“Some of you might be wondering, ‘Is that Charice?’ Well to update some of you guys, first of all, I am Charice… Today performing like my real self in front of you guys, this is the best performance ever," Charice added.

Early this year, Charice went to the 22nd placed in the list of “30 Queer Women to Watch” by the well-known lesbian/bi pop culture beat website AfterEllen.com.

“Finally, I just woke up and told myself that’s it. I really want to be myself because I owe it to myself and I didn’t want to be depressed anymore,” she told the website about her coming out.

Last June 2, she announced her “coming out” through social media.

“This day is not just for me but for all the people all over the world who had the strength to come out and be who they are,” Charice posted it on Instagram.

She is currently working on a new record, and set to do several TV appearance in the U.S.
