Dean Brings "Trouble" To Manila

Gelo de Vera
Manila got a taste of Korean R&B and Hip Hop as Korean singer SAAY and Asia's R&B prince DEAN brought a lit set for their fans at the New Frontier Theater last night. Presented by MCA Music and TNT, the singers definitely showcased their angelic vocals while fans scream their hearts out.
SAAY, accompanied by a DJ, brought the right amount of sugar and spice as she performed her songs to open the show. This is the singer's first time in Manila and she was grateful to know that the audience knows her songs while prepping the audience for DEAN. She debuted a new song "Cold View", and performed her hits including her debut single "Circle".
Although disclosing before his set that he is currently sick, DEAN still delivered a great performance. He performed his own songs as well as songs he's featured in that are certified to be crowd favorites. In the middle of his set, his fans or "Rebels" all sang happy birthday to the singer as he was also celebrating his birthday in the country. The singer had the most pure reaction as fans saw him getting shy while hiding his face and then saying his gratitude for the impromptu act after.
Throughout the show, DEAN kept saying sorry because of his cold, he thought he wouldn't be able to deliver a performance his fans would like. He even posted an Instagram story photo wherein the singer said he was sorry and that he would come back later when his condition is better.
What made the night more hotter was when DEAN performed "Put My Hands On You", because the singer himself was feeling sexy on his own by doing body rolls. Alongside the song, he also performed "D (Half Moon)", "instagram", "love", "Bermuda Triangle", "I'm Not Sorry", "21", and more.
For an intimate venue, the Manila crowd definitely showed much love and much hype to the singer therefore making the theater have an ambiance that of an arena. DEAN definitely slayed and the loudness of his audience proved this. The concert lasted for less than 2 hours making every fan inside the venue want and crave for more. Putting DEAN's sickness aside, Rebels still had the time of their lives as it wasn't even noticeable the R&B singer was sick because of his angelic voice and charm.
