A day of hard core metal during the grand finals of Wacken Metal Battle Philippines which was held last March 24 at Amoranto Stadium.
Metalheads gathered in this music mayhem as more than ten thousand attendees who scorched under the sun, and enjoyed their way to do moshpit.
Local acts such as GREYHOUNDZ, VIE, Queso, Philia, Saydie, ORCA, Typecast, and Valley of Chrome performed on stage. Metalcore bands Knosis, Sable Hills, Born of Osiris, Disentomb, Within Destruction, and Vulvodynia are among the foreign acts who also supported the said event.
During the metal battle, General Santos-based band Redeemed By The Blood took the spot to be Philippine representative to the Wacken Open Air in Germany on August of this year. For the 2nd and 3rd place respectively, Surebol who hailed from Iloilo, and Armas Ready from Bukidnon battled it out among the contenders.
