The biggest P-POP concert in the Philippines victoriously just took place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last July 16 gathering almost 20 top Filipino acts.
The concert was the conclusion of a 3-day event highlighting the best of current P-POP and getting these top acts closer to fans with activations, fansignings, appearances, and other exciting activities that were attended by many fandoms.
Fans filled the Araneta City throughout the convention dates, and expressed great support to their favorite group as well as performances from other P-POP acts during the concert - showing great enthusiasm and respect, which was later on discussed by SB19 member Josh and BINI member Jhoanna. The duo pointed out that all fandoms were respectful and enthusiastic towards all other groups and indeed, it was such a sight to see.
It cannot be denied that P-POP has been on the rise for years, but events such as P-POP Convention shows one how far it has come. Hosted by VJ Ai, the concert was graced by performance from SB19, BGYO, MNL48, BINI, ALAMAT, to name a few. Each group and solo act were able to showcase the best of their discographies, while also giving a taste to new audiences what to expect with their music.
The camaraderie and support showcased by P-POP fandoms prove that P-POP is healthier than ever, and it isn't just because of one or two fandoms, but more than 20 who got to bond and interact with each other during the convention and the concert.
