Fusion of OPM, KPop during BGC Taguig's epic New Year Eve's countdown

The star-studded New Year's Eve celebration at 5th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street was attended by more than 134,000 people who celebrated the New Year with family and friends.




The said event led by local chart-topping artists KZ Tandingan, Zack Tabudlo, with OPM legend Ely Buendia, and 3 out of 5 members of Red Velvet, Irene, Seulgi, and Wendy. 

KZ Tandingan started the event with Tyla's Water, and performed a medley from Parokya ni Edgar, then she belted out her hits such as Imposible, Tadhana, and Labo. She ended her set with Adele's Rolling In The Deep.



Adie performed his songs like Mahika, Token, Hoy!, Tahanan and Paraluman. Singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo sang his heart out with some of his popular songs such as Nangangamba, Habang Buhay, Fallin', Gusto, and Pano.






Red Velvet's Wendy dazzled the crowd with Like Water and Why Can't You Love Me? which was released in 2021. The first sub-unit of the group, Irene and Seulgi perfomed Monster for the first time in the country which was witnessed by Filo Reveluvs. Also, they also amazed the attendees with Naughty.





Meanwhile, Ely Buendia ended the show with Alapaap, Magasin, Ligaya, Pop Machine, Superproxy, and Ang Huling El Bimbo.




Attendees also enjoyed the street party along 5th Avenue, the city’s bustling epicenter, with its two larger-than-life 3D LED screens, and multiple satellite viewing areas so more people can join in the fun.

BGC NYE at the 5th capped off the festivities with a grand pyromusical display as the clock strikes midnight, illuminating the night sky and ushering in the new year.
