The Corrs in Manila: A Night That Kept Us ‘So Young’ at Heart

For two magical nights, the Smart Araneta Coliseum was filled with the sound of music that transcended generations. The Corrs: From Manila With Love wasn’t just a concert—it was a time machine, taking us back to the days when their songs were the soundtrack to our lives. From the very first song to the electrifying encore, the well-loved band reminded us that no matter how much time has passed, music keeps us forever young at heart.

The night opened with an air of excitement as the band eased into classics like Only in My Sleep, Summer Sunshine, All the Love in the World, and Don’t Say You Love Me. With each song, the audience grew louder, singing along with remarkable precision—so much so that Andrea, Sharon, Caroline, and Jim couldn’t hide their amazement. Time and time again, they paused to admire the sea of voices that knew their songs by heart, flashing wide smiles as the crowd practically performed with them.

As the night went on, the energy only grew stronger. The crowd was a beautiful mix—couples swaying hand in hand, groups of longtime friends reliving their youth, and fans who had traveled from different cities just to witness this moment. But no one was simply watching— everyone was living the music.

By the time So Young played, the message of the night became clear: we may have grown older, but our hearts still beat to the rhythm of the songs we grew up with. As the familiar chorus erupted, the entire coliseum turned into a massive celebration—dancing, singing, and letting loose like it was the early 2000s again.

But if there was one moment that truly united the entire arena, it was Runaway. As soon as the opening notes of the violin played, the atmosphere shifted— fans knew this was the song. Every voice in the venue sang in perfect harmony, filling the coliseum with an overwhelming wave of emotion.  The encore that followed was an explosion of joy, with the majority of the audience on their feet, waving their hands in the air, proving that the love for The Corrs hasn’t aged one bit.

And as the final notes faded, one truth remained: The oldies can still keep up— not just with the times, but with the thrill, the passion, and the powerful connection that only live music can create. The Corrs reminded us all that as long as the music plays, we will always be ‘so young.’
