Filipino Sakaken fans’ much-awaited 1st fan meeting with Japanese heartthrob actor, Kentaro Sakaguchi, had finally happened! Despite visiting the Philippines a few times back for work matters, his Filipino fans were definitely thrilled to finally meet the actor last May 17, 2025 at the SM Skydome, for a fun fan meeting!
Cheers instantly filled the venue as Kentaro, himself started off the show greeting the fans up close and personal before heading up the stage! He definitely gave his Filipino fans such intimate interactions to remember! The actor then shared some photos he took around a market in Manila wherein he got to try eating turon. Fans also recommended him to try halo-halo and sinigang. Afterwards, Kentaro showed off his artistic skills with an impressive drawing of a carabao in which he had drawn beforehand in just 15 minutes! Shortly after, fans got to witness his impressive drawing skills in person with a game, wherein the actor was given 100 seconds to draw several items and fans had to guess each one.
The fun didn’t stop there! Sakaken fans were in for a special treat as 4 lucky fans got to play 3 games with Kentaro himself! They all successfully played “Sipa”, “Ping Pong Bingo”, and “Balloon Soccer”, and each lucky fan got to take home a signed polaroid of Kentaro. Following that, the actor was put to a fun test of guessing his lines from his dramas and movies! One of the dramas shown was “And, Live”, in which Kentaro filmed in the Philippines, and shared that most of his lines were in Tagalog. The actor was thrilled to hear that his Filipino fans approve of his Tagalog skills!
Just before the show ended, Kentaro wanted his Filipino fans to cherish the night even more by heading around the venue one last time. The crowd could definitely feel Kentaro’s joy seeing him up close once again. Bidding his fans goodbye, he thanked them and expressed, “Filipino fans are so nice. This was a very warm fan meeting.”
