Millennials and Gen-Zs who grew up listening to pop-punk, emo, and alternative rock music are in for a treat this summer because three iconic rock bands who made our childhood and teenage years memorable are headed to Manila and Cebu this May.
Dashboard Confessional, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Faber Drive will headline this year's Playback Punk Rock & Emo Music Festival. The event will kick-off at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila on May 8, 2026, followed by a second night at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino in Cebu on May 9, 2026.
Known for hits like "Vindicated", "Stolen", and "Screaming Infidelities", Dashboard Confessional returns to the Philippines bringing their signature emo sound, following their memorable Manila performance in 2023 for a music festival.
Meanwhile, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, best known for their crowd favorites "Your Guardian Angel" and "Face Down", anthems that defined many millennial high school playlists, are set to make their comeback after their successful September 2024 show as part of their Asia Tour.
Completing the lineup is the Canadian pop-punk band, Faber Drive, known for their songs such as "Tongue Tied" and "When I'm with You", who will finally be making their highly anticipated Philippine debut.
