She started composing her own songs at an early age, joined international singing competitions, and wrote 29 songs since she was 13 years old.
Known as Asia’s Pop Sweetheart, her upcoming album features self-composed tracks. It was inspired by her experiences with love, and heartaches.
During the press conference recently, she expressed her interest to do a collaboration with Sarah Geronimo, Yeng Constantino, Maki, and Janine Teñoso.
On pursuing writing songs, and career choice after Ponti joined singing competitions, she said, “Nag-focus na lang po talaga ako sa paggawa ng maraming kanta. And yun naman po talaga, Parang I did music, I pursued music not because I want to compete but I want to hear something that could inspire people. It's all about me sharing my music, not competing."
