Karen Meets World

JYP Entertainment's newest hiphop boygroup "GOT7" dominates Araneta Coliseum last Saturday on their First Fan Meeting in the Philippines.

Got7 members JB, Mark, Jackson, Junior, Youngjae, Bambam and Yugyeom sang eight of their songs, played games to some IGOT7s or Ahgases (Got7 fandom name: meaning baby bird), and gave hi-touch and photo ops to lucky SVIP ticketholders.

Looking like a gentleman prince in their black and red suits, Got7 opens with "Stop Stop it" VCR and performance, it was immediately followed by their debut single "Girls Girls Girls".

Magic 89.9 Dj and local personality Sam Oh hosted and interpreted talks with Got7 on their stay here in the Philippines, current album title track "If You Do", and games namely: musical chair, telepathy game, pedometer shuffle, and message board dare.

In between games and interviews, Got7 dazzled the crowd with their cuteness in"Just Right", sexiness in "If You Do, and sweetness in "Playground" and "Magnetic.

The crowd went on hype and dance along with the boys performance in "Bounce".

Got7 members were also thankful to the surprise video message prepared by Filipino IGOT7s.

Smiles and screams were seen on IGOT7 fans when Bambam sang an excerpt of Ronnie Liang's "Ngiti", Jackson saying "Gusto ko kumain Mangga" and "Isa, Dalawa, Tatlo" as countdown for Yugyeom, the youngest member of Got7, to blow a candle on the surprise birthday cake which IGOT7 fans prepared, Youngjae's "Kamusta Kayo?" greetings, and Mark saying "Mahal namin Kayo".

Asked what Filipino food they have tried and loved, Jackson said, Mangoes, Mark said Dried Mangoes and Pig's Feet or "Crispy Pata"; and Bambam said Peanut Soup or "Kare-Kare".

Given the chance to go on vacation, Got7 said they want to visit Bohol in the Philippines.

During the fanmeet, a few technical issues arose, Some of the microphones were malfunctioning. Unfortunately, main vocalist Youngjae was standing too close when the pyrotechnics went off during their encore stage "A", injuring his left arm. Worried fans were assured by the said Got7 member that he was okay through his Instagram account where he posted a video saying "괜찮아요" or "I'm Okay" in English

At the end of the concert, Got7 thanked the fans and said "Get Home Safe".

Got7 Leader Jb told the fans that they will soon be back for a concert.
“Thank you all so much for being here tonight. We are feeling the love and bringing it home with us, and since we know that you're here, we will try to make it back as soon as possible.” he said. Translated by Sam Oh.
