More than 25,000 attendees waved their Xylobands at the spacious du Arena located at Yas Island. While waiting for the concert to start, there was a videoke game showed lyrics on the big screen from Michael Jackson to Adele songs. People enjoyed it by stomping to the beat and singing their heart out.
UAE's gifted DJ DJ Saif played for about 45 minutes was the opening act for Coldplay Abu Dhabi. During the New Year Eve's show, there are 3 stage set-up - Stage A or the main stage, Stage B which connected to Stage A, and Stage C was in the Gen Ad section.
As Maria Callas' cover, O Mio Babbino Caro was played as part of the setlist...the rest is history! 20 songs, light shows, fireworks, confetti and hundred of thousand of xylobands played a big part of the night. When Coldplay sang "Yellow", the whole du Arena went literally yellow from lights to xylobands. I can't even imagine on how the Manila tour will be like that.
One of the highlights of the Abu Dhabi tour is that huge balloons appeared when the lads sang Adventure of a Lifetime. Everyone's jumping because of the music and they were trying to touch it. People got busy then when they played the next song the band was on stage C. They played 2 songs and an impromptu or improvised song.
Concertgoers at the GA section shocked, they were just in the main stage suddenly they were like 20 steps away from Gamille and her companions. After singing In My Place, Coldplay went back to stage A and sang another song while waiting for the countdown. There were fireworks display then Coldplay ended the night with Up & Up.

Everyone participated when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said to the crowd that no cellphones allowed because he wants to see them clapping and jumping. During the entire night, they were all singing, dancing and jumping. It's a lifetime experience seeing Coldplay on stage.
