First Big Party for 2017: David Guetta Live in Manila

ohsayhello
One of the world's biggest DJs returned to Manila last Thursday, January 5.David Guetta started 2017 with a bang, as he played his biggest hits for Manila's first big party of the year in Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The French DJ and producer is known worldwide for amplifying the dance music scene with his smash hits such as "Titanium" (featSia), "Bad" (feat. Bassy) and "Shot me Down" (feat. Skylar Grey). His songs combined with crazy beats, laser lights and captivating visuals, lit up the crowd and turned the Araneta Coliseum into one big dance party.

Front act performers include: Funk Avy, DJ Tom Taus, and DJs Ace Ramos and Mars Miranda. They warmed up the crowd before Guetta took place.

DJ Tom Taus revved up the crowd of party-goers with his renditions of Jonas Blues' Perfect Strangers, Justin Bieber's Cold Water and The Fugees' Killing me Softly.

At exactly 12 midnight, the mixed crowd of students, yuppies, celebrities and foreigners cheered in excitement as David Guetta appeared on stage, with colorful laser lights and retro visuals to complete his set. Everyone in the arena danced, jumped and partied the night away as the world renowned DJ owned the night.

Aside from the crazy beats and his famous EDM hits, what took the party to a dizzying height were the LED screens with catchy visuals and the colourful laser light show that matched each beat.

Other than playing his own chart-topping music, Guetta also played renditions of The Chainsmoker's Don't Let Me Down and The Black Eyed Peas' I gotta feeling. The crowd started singing together  when he played what seems to be everyone's favorite that night:his smash hit Titanium.

After hours of pumping, jumping and dancing, Guetta ended the night with his hit single Without you. The crowd was so electrified that even after the party has ended, everyone had smiles on their faces and were still filled with brimming energy.

Thank you, David Guetta for starting our 2017 with an awesome party. Also to Wilbros Live for bringing one of the world's greatest DJs in Manila again. This year looks bright!
