MTV Jammin': New weekly series to feature stripped down performances by your fave artists

MTV Asia's raw music series captures artists in a casual, intimate session. Filmed (mostly) in MTV Asia's freshly minted in-house studio, it gets real in here, with heartfelt renditions, inspired covers and reinterpretations.

Enter our MTV JAMMIN' space, which is thoughtfully kitted out with musical instruments as part of our partnership with Swee Lee.  The idea is to have a couch-side spot with artists from the region and across the world to come down and have fun by performing stripped down takes on well-known hits, new songs and old favorites.

Grammy award winner Alessia Cara kicks off the weekly series, to be followed by Australian heartthrobs 5 Seconds of Summer, Juno awards nominee Scott Helman and an Asian line up of Midnight Fusic, Trisouls, Rahmani Astrini and more!

“MTV JAMMIN’ is all about creating a new live music series that is intimate but big on sound. We want artists to let their love of music take over, giving some amazing talent the space to spontaneously jam and perform. The MTV Asia studio is a place where they can chill and have some fun,” said Sari Trisulo, Executive Producer for shows, MTV Asia.

“MTV JAMMIN’ is another of our initiatives looking to bring fresh vigor and heart around music. The series underlines our growing embrace of short form, building accessible, recurring formats. We’re loving the eclectic talent coming through those elevator doors into this new space of ours, which we hope becomes a little haven for inspired creative expression. Fans should keep an eye on this one!”  said Abhishek K Rao, Senior Director, MTV Brand, Southeast Asia.
