Press Hit Play recently talked with Manila Concert Junkies about their preparation for Popstival on October 21 and shares about their new single, Sambit.

Manila Concert Junkies: Can you share with us about Sambit? Pano nagawa yung song?
JP: Yung Sambit po kasi, nag-umpisa sya sa dream ko dati as a solo artist po. Nag quit po kasi ako sa isang group ko dati, kasi parang ayaw ko na maging artist. Tapos balak ko na magwork sa ibang bansa. Kumpleto na actually yung mga papers ko. Tapos napaisip ako kung ano ba talaga yung gusto kong gawin. Music po talaga yung gusto ko. Kaya nagtry po ako magsimula ulit, Sumali sa contest, nanalo. Akala ko po magiging group po kami kasi balak ko, dun ko matapos yung song. Kaso di natuloy, Hanggang sa dumating nga yung Press Hit Play. Saka namin natapos yung song. Para sa Press Hit Play talaga yung Sambit. Sa struggles po namin, lahat ng hirap, paghihintay ng opportunity po. Yun po yung story namin.
MCJ: Anong preparation na ginagawa nyo for POPstival?
CHRLS: Sa Popstival naman po, talagang nagpreprepare po kami ng maayos. Katulad po ng pagpreprepare namin sa mga past concerts namin. We are really doing our best. Gusto po namin palaging magcreate ng surprises para po sa lahat ng mga taong pupunta at manonood. Lalo na kung ayun yung first time kami makikita in person. We just want to give a good show for everyone. Not only syempre sa lahat ng P-Pop fans, kasi may mga K-Pop fans rin na pupunta dun. For sure aabangan din po nila yung mga Filipino acts.
MCJ: Sino yung nilulook forward nyo makita dun? Sino yung gusto nyo makacollab din?
SEV: Ako personally, gusto ko po makacollab si Park Bom, former member ng 2NE1. Sila po talaga yung favorite group ko. Sila po yung nagdala sakin sa K-POP. And to share the same stage as her, parang sobrang dream come true talaga, as in. Di ko po maexpress sobrang fulfilling nya sakin. And the fact din po na magpeperform kami sa isang concert na may mga kasamang K-Pop groups, sobrang saya po. And it's really an honor and a privilege, of course. Kasi parang eversince po na nagform kami, isa rin po yung K-pop sa naging inspiration namin. Kaya parang sobrang achievement din po sa amin na finally may concert po kami kasama yung mga K-Pop groups.
JP: Nakakatuwa lang din po kasi na diba dati most concert, yung pinoy yung front act lang. Ngayon po, parang kasama kami.
CHRLS: Lahat po ng stage, tinitreat namin syang parang last so, kailangan po namin galingan everytime kasi di namin po alam, kelan kami ulit makakapagperform, for example po, sa SMDC Concert Grounds, So kailangan best po palagi ang output.
SEV: Yun din po pala kasi yung first concert na magkasama ang K-Pop at P-Pop. Kaya yung effort po namin sa practice, sa preparation, doble doble po.
