Aliw Theater in Pasay City will soon be filled with fans of Thai series “Cutie Pie" as its cast is set to hold their first fan meeting in the Philippine capital on June 17.
Gracing the event are Thai actors “Nunew” Chawarin Perdpiriyawong and “Zee” Pruk Panich who played in the series main roles of “Kuea” and “Lian”. Also meeting with PH fans are “Max” Saran Rujeerattanavorapan, “Nat” Natasitt Uareksit, “Tutor” Koraphat Lamnoi, and “Yim” Pharinyakorn Khansawa. They respectively portrayed the supporting roles of “Yi”, “Diao”, “Nuer”, and “Syn”.
Cutie Pie’s story revolves mainly around the characters of motorcycle-enthusiast and university student, Kuea, and heir to the family business, Lian. Kuea and Lian have been friends since childhood and had their marriage arranged by their grandparents to maintain the close connection between their families. Lian made a promise to Kuea's grandfather before he passed away that he would take care of Kuea. Later on, Kuea and Lian got engaged in fulfillment of the promise. Kuea is very much invested in the relationship, but Lian has no intention of falling in love with Kuea. This disappointed the latter and caused him to call for an end to their engagement. Despite the love-hate relationship the two had, the two still ended up being together.
Kuea’s best friend, Diao, played by Nat is also a friend from childhood to Yi, who was played by Max. Yi is Lian’s best friend and partner in business. Diao and Yi eventually fell in love with each other. Syn is Kuea’s classmate in the university who did not get along with Nuer when he joined Kuea’s circle of friends. They often clash and get annoyed by each other.
