Thai band Scrubb had recently visited Manila for a one-night-only concert at 123 Block. Fans of the band as well as fans of the hit Thai BL Series 2gether supported the duo as they perform in the country for the first time.
The duo was supported by local acts Elijah Canlas and Toneejay who warmed up the crowd with OPM. Elijah debuted plenty of his original songs, yet to be released, for the special crowd. The actor/singer also shared how the concert is a reminder for him of GAMEBOYS, a BL series he starred in, which was inspired by 2gether, where Scrubb's music was featured. Moreover, Toneejay made the crowd ecstatic with his original songs and trending song 711.
Scrubb absolutely brought the house down with a setlist full of hits. The crowd gave back a great energy song-after-song. The band performed hits like "Everything," "Close," "Click," etc. Plus, they got to meet their Filipino fans who have long been requesting for them to hold a show in the country.
Torpong also shared that hearing the Filipino audience sing back their song is making him cry, and that they are grateful fans know their lyrics even though they are mainly in Thai.
The concert definitely healed our hearts especially those coming from the BrightWin fandom as Scrubb's music truly reminded us of Sarawatine. On the other hand, real Scrubb fans also got to experience their music live which was definitely an unforgettable experience. We hope to have them back again in Manila!
Special thanks to Gabi Na Naman Productions for the opportunity!
