Catch Anberlin live at the Skydome on September 13

Last week, when I found out that Anberlin will be staging their farewell show at the Skydome, me and Ian are excited to watch them rockin' out on stage.

As PULP Live World brings you Florida-based band Anberlin which they will perform their hits from their previous albums such as Cities, New Surrender, and their latest LP, Lowborn. Been listening to them since 2005. Eavesdropping with their rendition of When In Rome's The Promise and Radiohead's Creep, I love all of their songs and will definitely watch them on the 13th of September.

Anberlin started in 2002, as they released their debut album, "Blueprints for the Black Market". Seven albums and numerous concert tours around the world, the band comprised of Stephan Christian (lead vocals, keyboards), Joseph Milligan (lead guitar, backing vocals), Deon Rexroat (bass), Nathan Young (drums, percussion), and Christian McAlhaney (rhythm guitar).

Catch them perform for the last time on September 13, 2014, 8 pm at SM Skydome, SM North Edsa. Tickets available at all SM Tickets outlets.

Who's excited to attend Bazooka Rocks 3

Who says girls don't go to a massive rock concert? I've been to a lot of concerts for the past several years. And being an audiophile who loves indie music, every moment while doing slammin' in the moshpit was the best thing ever I've ever done in my life.

As one of the biggest gathering of indie rock bands locally and internationally converge at Bazooka Rocks 3. It will be held on August 30 and 31 at SMX Convention Center,and hailed as Philippines' first ever indoor music festival.




Everyone's excited to see Taking Back Sunday, and The Used perform live on stage! Other bands who will strut their stuff in front of Filipino fans out there are Saves The Day, Senses Fail, BrickCity, Ria Bautista, Tiger Pussy, Runaway Crimes, You Me At Six, We Are The In Crowd, The Summer Set, Echosmith, Coldrain, Chicosci, Gracenote, December Avenue, NYCtinasty, and Paranoid City.

Alex Goot and Against The Current set to perform in Manila on August 30

Are you excited to see Alex Goot and Against The Current perform on stage?

YouTube stars and musician Alex Goot and Chrissy Costanza, and with her bandmates, Against the Current will be swoon over the Filipino crowd as they will perform on stage at Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater), CCP Complex, Manila on August 30, 8 o'clock in the evening.





In case you didn't know, Alex Goot has been doing videos through hisYouTube channel called GootMusic in 2010. As he became popular via this video portal, which the said channel earned around a million subscribers everyday.

His first studio album, In Your Atmosphere in 2012, which was made possible through a Kickstarter campaign. Some of the songs that he covered such as One Direction's Story of My Life, and Nickleback's Photograph. He has been working with fellow YouTube artists such as Boyce Avenue, and Against the Current.



Meanwhile, Against the Current is a pop-rock band from New York which consists of Chrissy Costanza, Dan Gow, Jeremy Rompala, Joe Simmons, and Will Ferri. The band formed in 2011, and became known when they collaborated with Goot with their version of Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen's song, Good Time.

The band has released their original singles namely Thinking and Closer, Faster in which was available via iTunes. Then, last May, their first album, Infinity was released via iTunes.

Charice performs in San Diego LGBT music festival

Talented Pinoy YouTube sensation, and international recording artist, Charice performs recently in a LGBT music festival in San Diego, California.

The said gay pride event, with the theme “Reflections of Pride", which aims to foster pride in and respect for all LGBT people locally, nationally and globally.

She performed her hit song “Louder” and David Guetta’s “Titanium.” As she told the crowd, “I’m a performer and I’m gay.”

“Some of you might be wondering, ‘Is that Charice?’ Well to update some of you guys, first of all, I am Charice… Today performing like my real self in front of you guys, this is the best performance ever," Charice added.

Early this year, Charice went to the 22nd placed in the list of “30 Queer Women to Watch” by the well-known lesbian/bi pop culture beat website AfterEllen.com.

“Finally, I just woke up and told myself that’s it. I really want to be myself because I owe it to myself and I didn’t want to be depressed anymore,” she told the website about her coming out.

Last June 2, she announced her “coming out” through social media.

“This day is not just for me but for all the people all over the world who had the strength to come out and be who they are,” Charice posted it on Instagram.

She is currently working on a new record, and set to do several TV appearance in the U.S.

Rock band Generation launched their self-titled debut album

Pinoy rock band, Generation recently launched their self-titled debut album. The said band which composed of sons of iconic Filipino recording artists. 


The band members are Joe and Mike Chan, sons of Jose Mari Chan, on bass and keyboards, Kowboy Santos, Sampaguita’s son, on lead guitar; and Ige Gallardo, son of Celeste Legaspi, on rhythm guitar.

They formed in 2008. Then, they've been performing in various gigs, as Generation played classics hits from The Beatles, Doobie Brothers, Cars, among others. Two years later, they began recording their debut album which comprises of all-original songs. 

They describe their brand of music as new classic rock. With its distinct yet melodic compositions, they will be surely swoon over the crowd like their carrier single “Love is Killing Me.”

And this 12-track album also features original tracks which you can add into your playlists such as “Make It Right,” “Idol,” “Shine Your Light On Me,” “Keena,” “Star,” “Walking A Fine Line,” “Can’t Be Wrong,” “Purple,” “He’s Gone,” “She,” and “Just Let Go.” Here's the thing, listen to all four members as take turns singing lead.

English band Bombay Bicycle Club perform live in Manila tonight

English indie rock band, Bombay Bicycle Club will rock out Manila tonight. As the lads from Crouch End, London which consists of Jack Steadman (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Jamie MacColl (guitar), Suren de Saram (drums) and Ed Nash (bass).


They are known from their songs such as Evening/Morning, Always Like This, Ivy & Gold / Flaws, Shuffle, Like This, Lights Out, Words Gone and Carry Me. And tonight, they will perform infront of their Filipino fans at World Trade Center, Pasay City, 8 pm.
