The wish fans in PH have been telling the sunset about has finally came true as “Billkin” Putthipong Assaratanakul and “PP” Krit Amnuaydechkorn is set to visit Manila this September 10, 7:00 P.M. for the PH leg of “Billkin & PP Krit Asia Fan Meeting 2023” at the World Trade Center Manila.
Billkin and PP Krit are known for their roles as “Te’h” and “Oh-aew”, respectively in the hit Thai BL series “I told Sunset About You”. In the series, Te’h and Oh-aew were originally childhood best friends and classmates. It was Te’h at first who wanted to become a lead performer in a Chinese drama until Oh-aew was selected by their teacher to perform the lead role. From then, Oh-aew made it known to Te’h that he also wants to pursue acting causing the conflict between the two. The conflict continues until the two eventually enter the same tutorial class in preparation for their university admissions. Here, they tried to be friends again and eventually build a romantic relationship. The series showed the coming-of-age of Te’h who was torn between pursuing his feelings over Oh-aew and his university admissions.
I told Sunset About You is a critically acclaimed 2021 series with multiple nominations and awards received from both local and international award-giving organizations. In 2021, Billkin and PP Krit received the Best Leading Actor and the Popular Actor awards, respectively in the 17th Komchadluek Awards. I told Sunset About You also received from the same award-giving body the Best Drama/Series award. The series also garnered multiple awards from the 2021 Line TV Awards such as Best Viral Scene and Best Kiss Scene as well as the Best Couple for Te’h and Oh-aew. During the 2021 Seoul International Drama Awards, I told Sunset About You won the International Invitation - International Drama of the Year award while PP Krit received the International Invitation - Asian Star Prize award.
The series was later followed by a sequel “I Promised You the Moon” and a special single episode “Last Twilight in Phuket”.
Aside from being celebrated actors in Thailand, Billkin and PP Krit are also known for their singing prowess. Some of Billkin’s hit songs are “Mr. Everything”, “I Like Us”, and “Skyline”, which is among the songs in the official soundtrack of I told Sunset About You. Billkin is also loved by his Filipino fans for “Give Me Your Forever”, a collaboration with Filipino singer Zack Tabudlo. PP Krit, on the other hand, is known for his singles “I'll Do It How You Like It”, “It’s Okay Not to be Alright”, and “Fire Boy”. Both Thai artists are known for the songs “Never Let Me Go”, “Safe Zone”, and “It’s Good”.
