5 things why you shouldn't miss the 'Huling Sayaw' concert of Kamikazee

After 15 years of music with Kamikazee, they will be having their last concert this coming December 10 at the Araneta Coliseum entitled ‘Huling Sayaw’. 15 years of craziness and laughter – we’ll definitely miss this band.

As a celebration of their successful 15 years of making good music – why you shouldn’t miss the ‘Huling Sayaw’ concert? I have 5 answers for you.

This is normal to Jay taking off his shirt in the middle of performance. You don't have to say "take it off" because he will definitely take off his shirt. His glorious tattoos, I bet you wanna see it for the last time.

This is one of the moves that people want to see from Kamikazee aside from their awesome live music and I'm guilty with that!

Kamikazee are one of the energetic bands I saw live. Despite of having a full set on their upcoming concert, you will expect the consistent high energy from them. Music plus crazy entertainment and banters in one.

Okatokat and The Ordertaker, please!

Better grab your tickets now and see Bords, Puto, Jay, Jomal and Led perform in one stage for the last time (yes, LAST TIME!)

Rock legends Kamikazee humbled by overwhelming support from their fans for their Huling Sayaw concert

Filipino rock legends Kamikazee have admitted to being “humbled” by fan reaction after thousands snapped up tickets for their farewell show at the SMART Araneta Coliseum in Manila on December 10, 2015.

The 15,000-capacity venue looks set to be a sell-out with legions of Kamikazee fans having already made sure of their places at what is set to be the gig of the year. Over 1,000 tickets were sold in just minutes after they went on sale, while the standing section and several seated areas have already sold out.

“We’ve staged shows for Kamikazee, Gloc-9, Bamboo and Rivermaya in Dubai before but as this is the first we have promoted in Manila we are delighted with the response from the band’s fans,” said a spokesman for promotion and production company Spicy Lemon.

“It’s an honour for us to be involved with such an iconic band and to be able to stage a show at a venue as historic as the Coliseum.”

Kamikazee lead singer Jay Contreras admitted the band were excited at the thought of playing a farewell show for their dedicated followers.

“All of us in the band are blessed to have such amazing fans and we are truly humbled at their reaction to the ‘Huling Sayaw' show,” he said. “It’s been a long fifteen years and we have played thousands of shows but the ultimate for us would be to play to a full house of our own fans in one of the most historic venues in the Philippines.

“Kamikazee is not just me, Jomal, Led, Bordes and Puto - it’s us and all the fans together so it’s important we celebrate the history of this band with the people who have watched us grow, followed us for years and helped get us to where we are today. We need to say thank you.”

After fifteen years of recording and playing live, Kamikazee will step away from the music industry to concentrate more on other interests and spend time with their families.

The remaining tickets - Patron Seated, Upper Box and General Admission - for Kamikazee Live at the SMART Araneta Coliseum on December 10, 2015 are on sale from the SMART Araneta Coliseum, all Ticketnet outlets and online at

Music icon Jack Jones will perform at the KIA Theatre on December 29 and 30

Celebrate the Yuletide season with music icon Jack Jones who is set to hold a two-night concert at the KIA Theatre (formerly New Frontier Theater), Araneta Center, on December 29 & 30, 8:00 in the evening.

Produced by ManCo Productions, Inc. and Royale Chimes Concerts and Events Inc., the show is entitled Jack Jones Sings Songs From The Heart". This is Jack's last concert in 2015 and he is excited to be doing it in the Philippines, a country very close to his heart.

"It is always a pleasure performing to the Filipino audience because of their love for music. There's a lot of great singers as well so it's like one sing-along party whenever I'm on stage trying to listen to them. I'm looking forward to this show because this is the first time I will be spending Christmas season, and almost New Year, in the Philippines. I heard that Filipinos are one of the best in celebrating this time of the year," says the great singer.

And yes, Jack will perform his signature songs plus well-loved covers and tracks from his recently-released CD called Seriously Frank, an album which celebrates and pays tribute to what would have been the 100th birthday of THE Frank Sinatra.

Adding excitement to the show is special guest Jose Mari Chan. When Jack learned that his friend Jose Mari will be appearing in the show, he immediately called him and both agreed to do a very special production number. This will surely become one of the highlights of the show.

Another guest who will definitely light up the stage is Asia's Got Talent second-runner up Gerphil Flores. For those who were not able to watch her in the said talent show, Gerphil's most applauded performance is her rendition of the Jack Jones classic The Impossible Dream. Expect Gerphil, dubbed as Asia's Golden Girl, to bring the house down with her operatic style of singing that even got the attention of famous composer David Foster who is one of the judges in Asia's Got Talent.

Jack's disarming smile, effortlessly engaging wit and vocal style stands alone, making him one of the greatest singers of all-time. Jack Jones is the very definition of a complete and total entertainer. The New York Times raves, "he is arguably the most technically accomplished male pop singer...". Frank Sinatra even once said, "Jack Jones is one of the major singers of our time."

Jack's commitment to his art has earned him two Grammy's for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance with his singles "Lollipops and Roses" by Anthony Velona and Bacharach/David's "Wives and Lovers". His release, Jack Jones Paints A Tribute To Tony Bennett, was nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance. He was also nominated for "The Impossible Dream" and his recording of "Wives and Lovers" was nominated for Record of the Year. His hit records include "The Race Is On", "Lady", "Call Me Irresponsible", "Love Boat", "What I Did For Love", to name a few. In April 1989, he was honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

With over 50 recorded albums (17 of them charting Billboard's Top 20) and consistently sold-out world tours, Jack Jones continues to charm audiences with his wit, sensitivity and vocal power.

"Bring the whole family to the show. We'll make this an unforgettable Yuletide celebration. Let's all have a great time," the Total Entertainer says.

JYP Entertainment's newest hiphop boygroup "GOT7" dominates Araneta Coliseum last Saturday on their First Fan Meeting in the Philippines.

Got7 members JB, Mark, Jackson, Junior, Youngjae, Bambam and Yugyeom sang eight of their songs, played games to some IGOT7s or Ahgases (Got7 fandom name: meaning baby bird), and gave hi-touch and photo ops to lucky SVIP ticketholders.

Looking like a gentleman prince in their black and red suits, Got7 opens with "Stop Stop it" VCR and performance, it was immediately followed by their debut single "Girls Girls Girls".

Magic 89.9 Dj and local personality Sam Oh hosted and interpreted talks with Got7 on their stay here in the Philippines, current album title track "If You Do", and games namely: musical chair, telepathy game, pedometer shuffle, and message board dare.

In between games and interviews, Got7 dazzled the crowd with their cuteness in"Just Right", sexiness in "If You Do, and sweetness in "Playground" and "Magnetic.

Smiles and screams were seen on IGOT7 fans when Bambam sang an excerpt of Ronnie Liang's "Ngiti", Jackson saying "Gusto ko kumain Mangga" and "Isa, Dalawa, Tatlo" as countdown for Yugyeom, the youngest member of Got7, to blow a candle on the surprise birthday cake which IGOT7 fans prepared, Youngjae's "Kamusta Kayo?" greetings, and Mark saying "Mahal namin Kayo".

Unfortunately, main vocalist Youngjae was standing too close when the pyrotechnics went off during their encore stage "A", injuring his left arm. Worried fans were assured by the said Got7 member that he was okay through his Instagram account where he posted a video saying "괜찮아요" or "I'm Okay" in English
