Gloc-9, Chito Miranda, and Shanti Dope Drop Surprise Track "Pati Pato"

All the stars have aligned with the surprise drop of PATI PATO, the much-awaited collaboration of OPM's stellar artists Shanti Dope, Gloc-9, and Chito Miranda (of Parokya ni Edgar)!

This all-star collab shows off the insane amount of talent that Pinoys have come to love through an upbeat banger that manages to contain both the grit of the daily grind, and the uplifting message of pursuing your passions and unleashing your ambitions no matter what.

All three artists personify their struggles in life and career in each of their verses, and are also joined by Gloc and Shanti's producer DJ Klumcee in the chorus.

Gloc, Chito and Shanti first came together in February when they performed the classic rap track "Bagsakan" (a song originated by Gloc and Chito, together with Rap Legend Francis Magalona) during an event in UP.

With its undeniable power, fans of OPM are bound to enjoy Pati Pato, which is already on its way to become the next classic.

Pati Pato is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Amazon Music under Universal Records.

Alaska Thunderfuck is Back in Manila

Winner of RuPaul's Drag Race (RPDR) All Stars Season 2, Alaska Thunderfuck, is back in Manila to perform for a bigger audience!

The drag queen arrived yesterday afternoon, August 28th, just in time for a sit down with the press to promote her upcoming show "A Night With Alaska", happening August 29th at the Samsung Hall. The queen arrived in a leopard printed top, as she is a firm-believer that "everything must be leopart print", a long black skirt, glasses, and her signature hairdo
.

Alaska shared that she is excited for people to see her show, which includes performances as well as witty banters that will surely make her fans enjoy the night and laugh out loud. When asked about her songwriting, the drag queen shared that she usually writes about songs about her daily experiences in life. This, she thinks is relatable to her listeners.

She is definitely one of the fan favorites from RPDR as she is currently being heard on her own podcast called #RaceChasers, wherein she talks about her favorite TV show RPDR with Willam. She mentioned that she doesn't think she'll be stopping this podcast soon because of its success.

During the laid back time with the press, she was also asked about the term "ghosting", and hilariously shared that she has indeed been ghosted- as many times as she has also ghosted people in her life. She also added that a guy is already "canceled" if he doesn't like ARTPOP by Lady Gaga, who the drag queen looks up to very much. She has also been called a lookalike of the pop star many times, and even Gaga approves.

Her energy alone can lift up a crowd and we're sure Manila will have a great time with Alaska, as always. Tonight, she'll be meeting her Filipino fans and will be performing some of her hits at the SM Aura Samsung Hall! Tickets are available via SM Tickets. This show is made possible by LAMC Productions and LA Comedy Live!

Elmo Magalona returns to the music scene with new single, Crush

Singer-rapper Elmo Magalona returns to the music scene with his latest single “Crush”.

Upon its release, Crush has already celebrated a number of achievements on various platforms. It topped the iTunes Philippines All Genre Chart, joining top hits of OPM and world music alike. Since its release, the song has already garnered more than 120,000 streams on Spotify, with Elmo having been featured as the face of New Music Friday Philippines on the week of the song's release. On top of this, the track has also been included in several playlists around Asia such as Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The modern track revolves around the typical high school crush and “getting bit by the love bug” - having such strong feelings for someone, yet so unsure of how they feel about you.

"Crush" was produced in Hawaii, and allowed Elmo to step out of his comfort zone and try new things. As he is still in the process of finding his sound, he says that this song is “a gateway to an unexplored Elmo”.
Prior to this song, Elmo released a self-titled album back in 2016, and recently collaborated with Hawaiian-Filipino artist MiMi, on the song entitled “Keke Love.”

With its fresh new vibe and the return of Elmo, "Crush" is definitely a track not miss out on. Watch out for the official music video and more music from Elmo soon!

Crush is now available for streaming and download on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon Music under Universal Records.

Carly Rae Jepsen is returning in Manila for The Dedicated Tour on October

Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen will be bringing her ‘The Dedicated Tour’ to Manila on October 23 at the New Frontier Theater. Tickets will be on-sale starting August 31 via TicketNet.com.ph and at all TicketNet outlets nationwide. Presented by concert promoter Wilbros Live.

Fans can expect a night full of hits as Carly Rae Jepsen will be performing her chart-topping songs, including “Cut to the Feeling”, “Call Me Maybe”, “Party for One”, “I Really Like You”, “Boy Problems”, “Emotion”, “Run Away with Me” and many more.

After Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became “a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts,” as NPR noted, adding “the blast radius of E•MO•TION is expansive.” The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her Grammy-nominated blockbuster hit “Call Me Maybe” (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.

Jepsen’s new album, Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION, which featured the platinum single "I Really Like You," was an ’80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called “a pop masterclass” and Stereogum called “indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius,” Dedicated has a more ’70s-inspired feel at times (though the album defies categorization as a whole). At one point, Jepsen was sure she was making a disco opus. “The title was going to be ‘Disco Sweat,’” she says with a laugh. “I really bought into it.” But Jepsen had a change of heart thanks to her travels over the past two years, which included writing trips to the Swedish countryside (“It was spring and there were fields of flowers, homemade breads, and kittens running everywhere”) and a beach in Nicaragua, where she surfed and stayed in a cabana-like casita. Then there was an Eat Pray Love-esque solo vacation in Italy. “I had so many songs,” she says. “I needed some space to walk around, reflect, eat pasta, and get to know myself a bit.”

#FellaInManila: Sheamus Says His Days As A Pro Wrestler Are Far From Done

WWE's Celtic Warrior Sheamus paid Manila a visit to promote the global wrestling giant's upcoming Philippine tour after three years. Enduring a 24-hour flight to the country, the former multi-time WWE Champion was pretty game to interact with fans and answer a few questions from avid supporters and press people in attendance. We'd actually consider him a gentle giant – or in this case, a gentle "fella". Outside the confines of a wrestling ring, his true persona is far from his ferocious and sometimes villainous WWE character.

Sheamus is currently on the sidelines recuperating from an injury but his YouTube Channel "Celtic Warrior Workouts" is what's been keeping him real busy.

And while he's still not medically cleared to compete, he assured the Pinoy WWE Universe that his wrestling career is far from done. In fact, he has his sights set on winning the Intercontinental title, the only championship that has eluded him in his stellar and Hall of Fame-worthy WWE career. We'll be waiting for your in-ring return, Great White! Thanks for showing Filipino fans a good time!

#WWEManila2019 is happening on September 20, 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum. You can still get your tickets via TicketNet,brought to us by Wilbros Live

Rico Blanco to IV of Spades: "My long-lost band mates"

Last night, thousands of fans witnessed a show they won’t forget as Rico Blanco, former Rivermaya frontman, and IV of Spades - consist of Zild, Blaster and Badjao, as they joined together for a night full of music and nostalgia. It was held at Metrotent Convention Center while fans braved the rain to show their support to the two talented musicians in the country.

Platinum ticket holders got the chance to experience the Soundcheck Party and had the opportunity to asked questions during the interview. The funniest question that was asked was “What is your toothpaste?” The boys didn’t answer but Zild knew that the fan wanted a specific answer so Zild started saying “Nagsisimula ba yan sa letter U”? Then everyone laughs. I know you guys what Zild meant.

The Sweet Shadow Tour of IV of Spades is still ongoing but they started in some provinces so the #RBxIVOSLive concert was technically their first Manila show from the tour.

Zild Benitez on Bass Guitar and vocals

Blaster Silonga on Lead Guitar and vocals

Badjao De Castro on Drums

IV of Spades started the show with the songs from their latest album “CLAPCLAPCLAP!”. Such as “Sweet Shadow”, “Bawat Kaluluwa”, “Dulo ng Hangganan”, “Bata, dahandahan”, “Come Inside of my Heart”, “My Juliana” and more.

Of course they also sing some of their old tracks like “Ilaw Sa Daan”, “Where Have You Been my Disco” where the disco ball being lit up above the stage, “Hey Barbara” where the two security guards hop on the stage and dance with the boys of IVOS and also “Mundo” where they added a different taste of it.

After IV of Spades, Rico Blanco took the stage and wowed the fans of his epic performance. Rico Blanco was wearing an Ati-atihan costume which he also uses during his “Galactik Fiestamatik” before.

Rico Blanco

Rico performed “Amats”, “Burado”, “Antukin”, “Panahon na Naman” where Chito Miranda appeared on screen singing his part, “Umaaraw-Umuulan” and “Posible”.

Of course Rico Blanco won’t forget to perform some of Rivermaya’s greatest hits such as “Hinahanap-hanap Kita”, “214”, “Elesi”, "Awit ng Kabataan”, “Liwanag sa Dilim”, and “Kisapmata”. He really brought the 90’s and early 2000’s music last night and everyone got the taste of it and was purely amazed on how Rico Blanco showcased his talent to the audience.

IV of Spades returned to the stage with Rico Blanco and they performed together “Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo” a song originated from Rivermaya and IV of Spades made a cover of it, “Take That Man” an original song of IV of Spades where Rico sings some parts.

The highlight of the night was when they mash-up “Your Universe” and “Mundo” where Zild sings “Your Universe” and Rico sings “Mundo”.  (see full video below)

Seeing two artists from different generations singing their songs together in one stage was really spectacular. The two really blended well.

Rico Blanco shared a story before they ended up the show that Ebe Dancel texted him saying “They (IV of Spades) are your long lost band mates”. Rico couldn’t agree more because he really enjoyed being with the IV of Spades. I can really tell that Rico was happy to join IV of Spades in a concert.

Zild also said Dati pinapakinggan lang namin siya (Rico Blanco), ngayon nakakasama na namin siya”. Everyone applauded and shouts their appreciation for the boys.

This was the best local concert of the year! Congratulations Rico Blanco and IV of Spades for the successful concert and making OPM alive.
